15 km de la mer : Sentiments mitigés



Après quelque petits soucis fin juin, je renouais avec la compétition. Niveau préparation, que du classique, trois semaines, la première avec un 12x200 et un 5x1000, la deuxième avec du 30/30 et un 3x2000 et une troisième semaine plus légère.

Pour une fois, mon public était dans la place ! Je me devais de « sortir » une performance convenable ! Car c'est bien beau de passer pour le taré de la bande, celui qui ne sort jamais très tard, qui ne boit pas trop en pensant à son entraînement du lendemain, pour que toutes ces extravagances se justifient il faut du résultat !

La météo était digne de l'automne : Guère plus de 18°, un ciel couvert, un peu de pluie par intermittence. Bref, une météo détestable pour les spectateurs, mais idéale pour la performance (à l'exception peut être du vent)

Départ à 18h, le début de course forme une boucle sur le port de Saint-Martin, ce qui permet aux spectateurs de voir passer la meute deux fois en 5 minutes. C'est aussi pour certains l'occasion idéale de partir comme des bourrins, tout excités par les encouragements (Ce que j'avais fait l'an dernier !)
Mention spéciale à un ***** qui a sprinté sur le premier kilomètre en bousculant tout le monde et en prenant le temps de faire un numéro de « Qu'est ce que t'as toi/Viens pas faire le mariole/ Ça va mal aller pour toi » à ceux qui ont râlé après avoir été bousculés sans ménagement. (Pour la petite histoire, le type a explosé en vol.... au 3ème kilomètre)

Revenons à ma course ! Conscient de la distance, j'ai essayé de mettre progressivement la machine en route, d'atteindre calmement ma vitesse de croisière. J'avais le sentiment d'avoir pris du retard jusqu'à ce que j'atteigne le 5ème kilomètre en un peu moins de 20 minutes ! J'étais donc sur le bon rythme.

Jusqu'à la mi course je n'ai pas vu le temps passer. Peu après le ravito de mi-parcours j'ai commencé à souffrir quelque peu et compter le temps et les kilomètres à parcourir jusqu'à l'arrivée, sans toutefois être à l'agonie, j'avais toujours de l'énergie pour suivre le rythme et continuer de dépasser (Les courses ou l'on part tranquille et ou l'on dépasse tout au long du parcours sont de loin les plus agréables !)

Petit souci pour les 2 derniers kilomètres : Mon dossard qui s'est arraché, ne résistant pas au vent et à la pluie ! Par crainte de disqualification j'ai donc couru en me le maintenant sur la poitrine, ce qui me donnait une superbe allure d'éclopé !

Arrivée en 57 minutes 59 secondes.
Vous m'avez bien lu, 57 minutes 59 secondes. Environ 15,5 km/h, soit à peu près le même rythme que lors de ma course de 7km du mois de juin ou je m'étais arraché pour tenir ce rythme.
Je veux bien avoir réussi la course parfaite au niveau de la gestion de mon effort, avoir progressé, mais il y a un GROS PROBLÈME de distance. Tout le monde fait environ 2 minutes de mieux que sur un autre 15km ! Les organisateurs reconnaissent que la course fait 14km800, mais elle doit plutôt faire 14km500 (et je suis gentil). Quel est l'intérêt d'une mesure aussi approximative ? Flatter l'ego des coureurs ? Attirer des coureurs désireux d'établir un record personnel ?

Le pire allait venir. Au classement général j'étais 49ème sur un peu moins de 700, et premier dans ma catégorie. J'espérais ramener une petite coupe. Eh bah non ! Je me suis farci toute la remise des prix (et dieu sait à quel point c'est chiant quand cela concerne que des inconnus), et aucune récompense en catégorie espoir ! Les juniors ont eu droit à un petit chèque et une coupe, et rien pour la catégorie au dessus ! Premier de la SEULE catégorie non gratifiée, c'est assez rageant.

A croire que les « jeunes » (générations 89,88 et 87) n'intéressent pas les organisateurs, si on nous ignore, il ne faut pas s'étonner que la course à pied ne draine que très peu de jeunes !

Ces deux raisons (métrage approximatif et oubli d'une catégorie) font que je ne reviendrais plus sur cette course !
